WHEREAS, the health and physical wellbeing of Little Rock firefighters is of utmost importance to Fire Department management and critical to firefighters' safety and ability to serve citizens of Little Rock, and WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock received bids under Bid #8219 for exercise equipment to be installed at all of the fire stations in the City and the lowest responsive bid was received from Premier Fitness in the amount of One Hundred Sixty -four Thousand, Six Hundred Twenty -five and 40/100 Dollars ($164,625.40), and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: Section1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with Premier Fitness for the purchase of exercise equipment for all of the City's fire stations for the amount of One Hundred Sixty -four Thousand, Six Hundred Twenty -five and 40/100 Dollars ($164,625.40). Section 2. Funds for this purchase are to be allocated from the Assistance to Firefighters grant awarded to the Little Rock Fire Department by the Department of Homeland Security. Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the resolution. Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
