3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A
4 CONTRACT WITH GLOVER'S TRUCK PARTS AND EQUIPMENT FOR THE
5 PURCHASE OF FIVE (5) HIGH COMPACTION REFUSE TRUCKS; AND FOR OTHER
6 PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, the Fleet Services Department is in need of five (5) High Compaction Refuse Trucks, and
9 WHEREAS, these refuse trucks will replace older equipment with high maintenance expenses, and
10 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock received bids for the purchase of the five (5) High Compaction
11 Refuse Trucks, and the lowest responsible and responsive bid was received from Glover's Truck Parts
12 and Equipment in the amount of Six Hundred Ninety Thousand, Four Hundred Seventy -five Dollars
13 ($690,475.00);
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
15 ROCK, ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract for
17 the purchase of five (5) High Compaction Refuse Trucks, for the amount of Six Hundred Ninety
18 Thousand, Four Hundred Seventy -five Dollars ($690,475.00);
19 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are to be allocated from the Public Works Solid Waste

Enterprise Account.
Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause,
phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such
declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain
in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not
originally a part of the resolution.
Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
