3 A RESOLUTION TO AWARD A CONTRACT TO ROSE COMPANY BUILDERS, INC.
4 IN THE MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF $250,000 TO PROVIDE CARPENTRY WORK FOR
5 THE LITTLE ROCK ZOO; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A
6 CONTRACT WITH ROSE COMPANY BUILDERS, INC. FOR SUCH SERVICES; AND
7 FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

9 WHEREAS, the Zoo has need of carpentry services for several proposed projects during the
10 coming year, and
11 WHEREAS, the City issued and advertised a Request for Proposals and Rose Company Builders,
12 Inc. submitted the lowest bid, and
13 WHEREAS, Rose Company Builders, Inc. was selected to perform the services and it represents
14 that it is capable of and desirous of performing the needed services.
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
16 ROCK, ARKANSAS:
17 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby awards a one -year contract to Rose Company
18 Builders, Inc. to provide carpentry work for various projects at the Little Rock Zoo in an amount not to
19 exceed $250,000. The City Manager is authorized to execute a contract with Rose Company Builders,
20 Inc. for such services in a form acceptable to the City Attorney and with the contract to be signed
21 within thirty (30) days.
22 Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause,
23 phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such
24 declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution, which shall remain
25 in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not
26 originally a part of the resolution.
27 Section 3. Repealer. All ordinances, resolutions, bylaws, and other matters inconsistent with
28 this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
