2 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A
3 CONTRACT WITH LaSHER OIL COMPANY, INCORPORATED AS THE PRIMARY
4 VENDOR AND MID SOUTH SALES AS THE SECONDARY VENDOR FOR THE
5 PURPOSE OF PURCHASING FUEL FOR ALL CITY FUELING SITES; AND FOR
6 OTHER PURPOSES.
7 WHEREAS, the current APO with LaSher Oil Company Incorporated for the purchasing of fuel for all
8 City fueling sites will expire on December 31, 2007, and
9 WHEREAS, the formal bidding process was utilized to obtain competitive bids and the lowest
10 responsible and responsive bidders were LaSher Oil Company Incorporated as the primary vendor
11 and Mid South Sales as the secondary vendor, and
12 WHEREAS, this APO will be for a period of one (1) year, beginning January 1, 2008, with the
13 option to extend annually for six (6) additional years;
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
15 ROCK, ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into an annual
17 contract to supply fuel to all City fueling sites with LaSher Oil Company Incorporated as primary vendor
18 and Mid South Sales as secondary vendor, beginning January 1, 2008, in an estimated amount of Two
19 Million, One Hundred Eighty -six Thousand Dollars ($2,186,000.00).
20 Section 2. This annual contract will be renewable for six (6) years, upon agreement of both
21 parties.
22 Section 3. Funds for this purchase are to be allocated through the Fleet Services Department fuel
23 account.
24 Section 4. Severability. in the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause,
25 phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such
26 declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain
27 in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not
28 originally a part of the resolution.
29 Section 5. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
30 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
