12607I RESOLUTION NO. 12,607 2 3 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN EXTENSION OF THE CONTRACT WITH SEVEN 4 ORGANIZATIONS TO PROVIDE YOUTH INTERVENTION PROGRAMS ( "YIP ") IN 5 TARGETED NEIGHBORHOODS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 6 7 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock is committed to providing prevention, intervention and 8 treatment services to enhance public safety, community- building, and youth development for Little 9 Rock youth; and 10 WHEREAS, Little Rock, Ark. Res. 12,437 (February 6, 2007) provided for two additional one -year 1 l terms based on their performance and Little Rock Board of Directors appropriations. 12 NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, 13 ARKANSAS: 14 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to extend the contracts with the following organizations 15 to provide gang intervention services for youth for an additional year: 16 Operations 17 Program Budget 18 1. St. John /Unto Others (male- Central) $58,358.00 19 2. BCD -black Community Developers (male -Mid) 59,995.00 20 3. BCD -Black Community Developers (female -Mid) 59,999.00 21 4. Greater Second Care (female -SW) 51,042.00 22 5. Greater Second Care (male - SW) 53,165.00 23 6. Step Up Support Center (male -SW) 56,816.00 24 7. Step Up Support Center (female -SW) 56,538.00 25 8. Promiseland Ministries (Hispanic male -SW) 53,968.00 26 9 Hunter United Methodist Church (male -West) 56,686.00 27 10. Hunter United Methodist Church (female -West 57,186.00 28 11. LR Boys Et Girls Club Whetstone (male -SW) 59,415.00 29 12. LR Boys Et Girls Club Thrasher (female -C) 58,959.00 30 TOTAL $682,127.00 31 Section 2. The term of this contract extension shall be from January 1, 2008, to December 31, 32 2008. 33 Section 3. Funding for these programs is from FUTURE - Little Rock tax revenue specified for 34 prevention and intervention programs, account number 35 Section 4. Severability. Section 5. Repealer. All resolutions, and parts thereof, which are in conflict with any provision of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
