WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock is committed to prevention, intervention and treatment programs to enhance public safety, community - building, and youth development; and, WHEREAS, the current contract with BCD (Black Community Developers) and Step Up Support Center has an option for two additional one -year extensions based on their performance and Little Rock Board of Directors appropriations. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to extend the contracts with the following organizations for one year to provide neighborhood support center services to Little Rock residents 18 years and older: Operations Program Budget Black Community Developers (BCD)- Central $174,964.00 Step Up Support Center - Southwest 169,716.00 Section 2. The term of this contract extension shall be from January 1, 2008, to December 31, 2008. Section 3. Funding for these programs is from FUTURE - Little Rock tax revenue specified for prevention and intervention programs, account number SOOT 508 and -509. Section 4. Severability. In the event any portion of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of this resolution, which shall remaining full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of this resolution. Section 5. Repealer. All resolutions, and parts thereof, which are in conflict with any provision of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
