12604I RESOLUTION NO. 12,604 2 3 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN EXTENSION OF THE CONTRACT WITH SIX 4 ORGANIZATIONS TO PROVIDE YOUTH NEIGHBORHOOD -BASED OUT -OF- 5 SCHOOL TIME PROGRAMS IN TARGETED NEIGHBORHOODS; AND FOR OTHER 6 PURPOSES. 7 8 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock is committed to providing prevention, intervention and 9 treatment services to enhance public safety, community - building, and youth development for Little 10 Rock youth; and 11 WHEREAS, Resolution No. 12,438 (February 6, 2007) provided for the original contract award as 12 well as two one year extensions based on their performance and Little Rock Board of Directors 13 appropriations. 14 NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, 15 ARKANSAS: 16 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to extend the contracts with the following 17 organizations for one year to provide neighborhood based prevention programs for youth: 18 Operations 19 1. Women's Council on African American Affairs (6 -11) $58,244.00 20 2. Pulaski County Juvenile Services (East) (6 -11) 55,170.00 21 3. Faithcare /Inner City Futurenet (ages 6 -11) 52,561.00 22 4. Faithcare /Inner City Futurenet (ages 12 -17) 51,035.00 23 5. Little Rock Boys /Girls Clubs - Mitchell Unit (12 -17) 58,715.00 24 6. Promiseland Ministries (6 -11) 53,140.00 25 7. LR Boys /Girls Clubs - Penick (ages 6 -11) 58,715.00 26 8. LR Boys /Girls Clubs - Penick (ages 12 -17) 58,715.00 27 9. LR Boys /Girls Clubs - Whetstone (12 -17) 58,715.00 28 10. Pulaski County Juvenile Services (Southwest) (6 -11) 58,887.00 29 11. In His Image Youth Development Center (SW) (6 -11) 55,000.00 30 TOTAL $618,897.00 31 Section 2. The term of this contract extension shall be from January 1, 2008, through December 32 31, 2008. 33 Section 3. Funding for these programs is from FUTURE - Little Rock tax revenue specified for 34 prevention and intervention programs, account number 35 Section 4. Severability. Section 5. Repealer. All resolutions, and parts thereof, which are in conflict with any provision of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
