3 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN EXTENSION OF THE CONTRACT WITH SIX
4 ORGANIZATIONS TO PROVIDE YOUTH NEIGHBORHOOD -BASED OUT -OF-
5 SCHOOL TIME PROGRAMS IN TARGETED NEIGHBORHOODS; AND FOR OTHER
6 PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock is committed to providing prevention, intervention and
9 treatment services to enhance public safety, community - building, and youth development for Little
10 Rock youth; and
11 WHEREAS, Resolution No. 12,438 (February 6, 2007) provided for the original contract award as
12 well as two one year extensions based on their performance and Little Rock Board of Directors
13 appropriations.
14 NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
15 ARKANSAS:

Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to extend
the contracts with the following

organizations for one year to provide neighborhood based prevention programs for youth:

Section 4. Severability. In the event any portion of this resolution
is declared or adjudged to be

invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of

this resolution, which shall remaining full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged
invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of this resolution.
Section 5. Repealer. All resolutions, and parts thereof, which are in conflict with any provision of
this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
