ORDINANCE NO. 19,811
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND LITTLE ROCK, ARK., Ordinance No. 19,784) TO MOD-
IFY THE TIME AND MANNER IN WHICH THE CITY SHALL RELEASE IMMOBILIZED
OR TOWED MOTOR VEHICLES; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, The City Board of Directors passed Ordinance No. 19,784 on July 17,
2007, which amended Little Rock, Ark. Rev. Code 32 -322 (1988) on immobilization of
vehicles and
WHEREAS, additional amendments are necessary to clarify the intent of the Board
of Directors.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. Subparagraph (9) of Section 2 of Little Rock Ordinance No.
19,784 (July 17, 2007) is hereby amended as follows:
(9) A notice, printed on highly visible paper or other material, shall be
attached to the vehicle in a conspicuous place, and shall read sub-
stantially as follows:
WARNING!
DO NOT MOVE THIS VEHICLE
ATTEMPTS TO OPERATE THIS VEHICLE WHILE THE IMMOBILIZ-
ING DEVICE IS ATTACHED MAY RESULT IN SERIOUS DAMAGE TO
THE VEHICLE OR SERIOUS BODILY INJURY TO THE PERSON AT-
TEMPTING TO OPERATE THE VEHICLE.
This vehicle has been immobilized by the City of Little Rock for
violations of the Municipal Code concerning parking violations.
To secure the release of the vehicle, payment shall be made
for all outstanding parking violations, parking warrants, and the
immobilization or impoundment fee, or both. An additional cost of
fifty dollars ($50.00) shall be charged and paid for releases that oc-
cur after normal business hours and holidays.

Arrangements for release of this vehicle may be made by call-
ing the:
(1) Parking Enforcement Section at 371 -4528 during normal
business hours, Monday through Friday.
ATTENTION, VEHICLE OWNER: You are hereby advised of your
rights to request a prompt hearing to determine the validity of the im-
mobilization, tow, or both, and any related fees. Detailed information
relative to obtaining such a hearing is provided on the reverse side of
the immobilization receipt.

Section 2. Effective Date. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after Sep-
tember 15, 2007.
Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause,
phrase, or word of this ordinance is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such decla-
ration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the ordinance which shall remain in
full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not origi-
nally a part of the ordinance.
Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsis-
tent with the provisions of this ordinance, are hereby repeated to the extent of such inconsistency,
including, but not limited to, Little Rock, Ark., Rev. Code 9 32 -322 (1988)..
