125801 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 33 34 35 36 37 RESOLUTION NO. 12,580 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO RENEW THE CONTRACT WITH TRAVELERS INSURANCE COMPANY FOR CITY PROPERTY INSURANCE COVERAGE WITH INCLUSION OF THE BOILER AND MACHINERY COVERAGE FOR AN ADDITIONAL YEAR; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS, the City owns a significant number of buildings from which City operations are conducted, and WHEREAS, the City purchases insurance coverage, and boiler and machinery coverage to insure against loss and damage to City -owned buildings, facilities and other properties, and WHEREAS, the incumbent provider of the various coverage for City -owned buildings, facilities and other properties has proposed renewal of the property coverage with inclusion of the boiler and machinery coverage, which had been a stand -alone policy, at reduced premium rates; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to renew the property insurance coverage for City - owned buildings and for inclusion of the boiler and machinery coverage, for the 12 -month period effective October 1, 2007, with a reduction in premium rate for the City. Section 2. Funds for the cost of this coverage will be included in the appropriate budget line items of the 2008 City budget. Section 3. Severability. In the event any portion of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of this resolution, which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of this resolution. Section 4. Repealer. All ordinances and resolutions, and parts thereof, which are in conflict with any provision of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
