3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A
4 CONTRACT WITH PRO -FIRE EQUIPMENT, LLC FOR THE PURCHASE OF
5 FIREFIGHTING PROTECTIVE COATS AND PANTS FOR THE LITTLE ROCK FIRE
6 DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, certain protective clothing is required in order to provide the best protection
9 possible for the uniformed personnel of the Fire Department while fighting fires and
10 performing rescues, and
11 WHEREAS, Pro -Fire Equipment, LLC submitted the most responsible and responsive bid for
12 an annual contract to provide protective coats and pants for the uniformed Fire Department
13 personnel, at a cost of $1,095.00 for coats and $780.00 for pants, and
14 WHEREAS, this will be an annual contract, renewable for four (4) years, upon agreement
15 of both parties;
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
17 LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
18 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into an
19 annual contract with Pro -Fire Equipment, LLC, to provide approximately 100 sets of
20 protective coats and pants for all uniformed personnel of the Little Rock Fire Department, at
21 a cost of $1,095.00 for coats and $780 for pants.
22 Section 2. This annual contract will be renewable for four (4) years, upon agreement of
23 both parties.
24 Section 3. Funds for this purchase are available in the Fire Department's general budget.
25 Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence,
26 clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or
27 unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of
28 the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or
29 adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the resolution.
30 Section 5. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are
31 inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such
32 inconsistency.
