3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A
4 CONTRACT WITH US NIGHT VISIONS, INC. FOR PURCHASE OF PVS -14 NIGHT
5 VISION MONOCULARS WITH HELMET MOUNTS FOR THE SPECIAL WEAPONS
6 AND TACTICS TEAM OF THE LITTLE ROCK POLICE DEPARTMENT; AND FOR
7 OTHER PURPOSES.

9 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Police Department requests approval for the purchase of twenty -one
10 (21) sets of night vision monocutars with helmet mounts for the Special Weapons and Tactics team; and
11 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock received bids for the purchase of the twenty -one (21) sets of
12 night vision monoculars with helmet mounts and the lowest responsible and responsive bid was
13 received from US Night Vision, Inc. of Rocklin, California, in the amount of Fifty -four Thousand, Five
14 Hundred Twenty -two and 92/100 Dollars ($54,522.92) plus tax;
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
16 ROCK, ARKANSAS:
17 Section1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with
18 US Night Vision, Inc. for the purchase of twenty -one (21) sets of night vision monoculars with helmet
19 mounts for the amount of Fifty -four Thousand, Five Hundred Twenty -two and 92/100 Dollars
20 ($54,522.92) plus tax.
21 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are to be allocated from Homeland Security Buffer Zone
22 Protection Grant #3 (G35002).
23 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause,
24 phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such
25 declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain

in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not
originally a part of the resolution.
Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
