3 A RESOLUTION TO EXPRESS THE WILLINGNESS OF THE CITY OF LITTE ROCK
4 TO UTILIZE FEDERAL -AID HIGH PRIORITY PROJECT FUNDS FOR ACQUISITION
5 AND CONSTRUCTION OF TRAIL FACILITIES ON ARKANSAS RIVER TRAIL; AND
6 FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock understands that there are federal -aid high priority funds for
9 acquisition and construction of trail facilities on the Arkansas River Trail from East Little Rock to
10 Pinnacle Mountain State Park, and
11 WHEREAS, the amount of the City's 20% match of the project cost will be identified prior to
12 use of AHTD funding;
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
14 ROCK, ARKANSAS:
15 Section 1. The City will participate in accordance with its designated responsibilities of the
16 project.
17 Section 2. The City Manager, or his designee, is hereby authorized and directed to execute
18 all appropriate agreements and contracts necessary to expedite the construction of this City project.
19 Section 3. The City pledges its full support and hereby authorizes the Arkansas State Highway
20 and Transportation Department to initiate action to implement this project.
21 Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause,
22 phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such
23 declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain
24 in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not

originally a part of the resolution.
Section 5. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are
inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such
inconsistency.
