ORDINANCE NO. 18 709
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 8 OF THE
1988 REVISED LITTLE ROCK CODE OF
ORDINANCES, PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION
BY REFERENCE OF THE 2002 NATIONAL
ELECTRICAL CODE, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, Little Rock, Ark. Rev. Code 8- 172(a) adopts by reference the 2002
Edition of the National Electrical Code.
WHEREAS, the City has complied with Ark. Code Ann. § 14 -55 -207 (1987) by
publishing a notice of intent to adopt these technical codes by reference in a paper of
general circulation within the municipality and three copies of codes have been available
for inspection in the City Clerk's office by the public prior to their adoption; and
WHEREAS, this Ordinance Amendment is necessary to update the City Code and
authorize the use of the 2002 Edition within the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. This section of Little Rock, Ark. Rev. Code § 8 -172 (1988) is hereby
amended to read as follows:
(a) The following publications are adopted by reference:
(1) The 2002 National Electrical Code.
SECTION 2. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this provision
are hereby repealed to the extent of the conflict.
