12547I RESOLUTION NO. 12,547 2 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO PURCHASE TWO (2) 3 ONE -TON PICK -UP TRUCKS FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT FROM 0 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 33 34 35 36 37 LANDERS FORD, THROUGH THE 2007 STATE CONTRACT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS, the Public Works Department desires to replace 10 -cubic yard dump trucks with one -ton cab and chassis pick -up trucks which have dump beds added in order to down -size some equipment to better meet the financial goals of the Department, while maintaining the same level of service, and WHEREAS, the City has decided that it is in its best interest to purchase two (2) of these trucks from Landers Ford through the Arkansas State Purchasing Contract; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: Section 1: The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Landers Ford for the purchase of two (2) Half -ton Pick -up Trucks for the Public Works Department, for the amount of Fifty -two Thousand, One Hundred Seventeen and 40/100 Dollars ($52,117.40) pursuant to the State Purchasing Contract. Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in the 2007 Short -term Financing Account for the Public Works Department. Section 3. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency. Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the resolution.
