125431 2 RESOLUTION NO. 12f543 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO 4 ENTER INTO CONTRACTS WITH NEW FUTURES FOR YOUTH, 5 INC. TO PROVIDE CAPACITY BUILDING, TRAINING, AND 6 TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE SERVICES; AND FOR OTHER 7 PURPOSES. 9 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock is committed to providing prevention, 10 intervention, and youth development programs and services to enhance public safety 11 and community- building, and 12 WHEREAS, the City advertised a formal Bid No. 7234 to solicit proposals for 13 capacity building, training, and technical assistance; and 14 WHEREAS, a review committee met and reviewed the proposals submitted, 15 determined the lowest responsible and responsive bidder(s), and recommends the 16 contract award for New Futures for Youth, Inc., to provide capacity building, training, 17 and technical assistance services based upon the recommendation of the Commission 18 on Youth and Families. 19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF 20 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 21 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with New 22 Futures for Youth, Inc., for an amount not to exceed $60,000.00 for capacity building, 23 training, and technical assistance services. 24 Section 2. Funds for these programs are from FUTURE- Little Rock tax 25 revenue specified for prevention, intervention, and treatment programs, account 26 number SOOT091. The term of the contract is from June 10, 2007 to June 9, 2008 Section 4. Severability. In the event any portion of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of this resolution, which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of this resolution. Section 5. Repealer. All ordinances and resolutions, and parts thereof, which are in conflict with any provision of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
