12532I RESOLUTION NO. 12,532 01 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO 4 ENTER INTO CONTRACTS TO PROVIDE SUMMER 5 RECREATION PROGRAMS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock is committed to providing prevention, intervention, and youth development programs and services to enhance public safety and community - building, and WHEREAS, the City advertised a formal Bid No. 7233 to solicit proposals for Summer Recreation Programs for Little Rock youth, and WHEREAS, a review committee met and reviewed the proposals submitted on June 5, 2007 and determined the lowest responsible bidders. The Children Youth and Families Commission reviewed the work of the review committee and recommends the organizations listed below for contract awards. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: Section 1. Contracts for summer recreation programs are hereby awarded to the following organizations: AGENCY AMOUNT 1. Girl Scouts of Ouachita Council $13,400.00 2. Centers - Parent Center 13,836.00 3. Pfeifer Camp (Males) 16,894.00 4. Pfeifer Camp (Females) 16,894.00 5. Centers — Proposal 2 17,220.00 6. Promiseland- Promise Camp 15, 700.00 3 9. Our House 17,600.00 4 TOTAL $147,192.00 5 Section 2. Such awards are contingent upon successful negotiation between 6 the parties. The City Manager is authorized to enter into contracts with these 7 organizations providing summer recreation programs and services, upon successful 8 contract negotiations in consultation with the City Attorney. 9 Section 3. Funds for these programs are from FUTURE - Little Rock tax 10 revenue specified for prevention, intervention, and treatment programs, account 11 number 108159- SOOT495. 12 Section 4. The term of the contract is to be negotiated, but in no event to 13 continue beyond August 10, 2007. 14 Section 5. Severability. In the event any portion of this resolution is declared or 15 adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not 16 affect the remaining portions of this resolution, which shall remain in full force and 17 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not 18 originally a part of this resolution. 19 Section 6. Repealer.
