RESOLUTION NO. 9,890
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE
CENTRAL ARKANSAS LIBRARY TO SELL
CERTAIN PROPERTY FOR THE BENEFIT OF
THE LIBRARY AND THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the Central Arkansas Library System (CALS) has requested proposals for the
use of certain lots belonging to the System which are not needed for the development of the new
main library building.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1: The Mayor and the City Clerk are authorized to execute any documents
necessary to convey the following properties from the Central Arkansas Library System and the City
of Little Rock to Fred Gray, his heirs or assignee:
The east 48 feet of the north 120 feet of lots 1, 2, and 3, block 36,
original City of Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas, and further
described as 309 - 311 East Markham Street; and
The west 56 feet of the north 100 feet of lots 10, 11, and 12 block 36,
original City of Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas, and further
described as 317 - 319 East Markham Street.
SECTION 2: The Mayor and the City Clerk are authorized to executive any documents
necessary to complete the transfer of certain properties, if a first right -of- purchase is exercised by
Fred Gray or his assignee, these properties being more specifically described:
The east 96.23 feet of lots 10, 11, and 12, block 36, original City of
Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas, and further described as a two
level parking deck.
