A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT
BIDS AND AWARD A CONTRACT TO ALESSI -KEYES FOR
CONSTRUCTION OF A MAINTENANCE BUILDING ADDITION AND A
RECORD STORAGE BUILDING AT THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT
SOLID WASTE FACILITY.
WHEREAS, this construction includes additional equipment maintenance facilities and a
records storage building; and
WHEREAS, the Arkansas Department of Pollution Control and Ecology requires permanent
on -site storage of operating records including copies of all weight tickets; and
WHEREAS, the equipment maintenance addition will improve efficiency and effectiveness
of the maintenance operation including reduced downtime and rental costs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to accept bids and award a contract to Alessi -
Keyes of Little Rock, Arkansas, the low bidder meeting specifications, in an amount not to exceed
$463,563 ($421,421 plus 10% contingency) for construction of a maintenance building addition and
a record storage building at the Public Works Department Solid Waste Facility.
SECTION 2. Funding for this purpose is available from account number 603 -BSA 1503.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
