125181 RESOLUTION NO. 12,518 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A ONE - 4 YEAR LEASE WITH E -Z GO A TEXTRON COMPANY FOR THE LEASE OF 147 5 ELECTRIC GOLF CARTS, 15 GAS GOLF CARTS, 5 GAS UTILITY CATS, A BALL 6 PICKER GAS UTILITY CAR, AND 1 CONCESSION /REFRESHMENT UTILITY CART, 7 FOR THE PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 8 9 WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Little Rock Parks and Recreation Department that the 10 leasing of golf carts for the Rebsamen, Hindman, and War Memorial Golf Courses, rather than 11 purchasing them, is more efficient, economical, and provides greater customer satisfaction, and 12 WHEREAS, bids have been advertised for a one -year lease of 147 electric golf carts, 15 gas golf 13 carts, 5 gas utility carts, 1 ball picker gas utility cart, and 1 concession/ refreshment utility cart, and 14 the most responsible and responsive bid was received from E -Z Go a Textron Company, in the amount 15 of One Hundred Thirty -two Thousand, Eight Hundred Seventy -six Dollars ($132,876.00), and 16 WHEREAS, the one -year lease will begin on June 1, 2007, and shall include an option to extend it 17 for two additional one -year terms; 18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE 19 ROCK, ARKANSAS: 20 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a one -year lease, with an option to extend 21 the lease for two additional one -year terms, with E -Z Go a Textron company for the lease of 147 22 electric golf carts, 15 gas golf carts, 5 gas utility carts, 1 ball picker gas utility cart and 1 23 concession/ refreshment utility cart, for the Parks and Recreation Department. 24 Section 2. Funds will be available from the Golf Enterprise Operating Budget. 25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, 26 phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such 27 declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain 28 in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not 29 originally a part of the resolution. 30 Section 4. Repealer.
