RESOLUTION NO. 12,499
A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CHANGE
ORDER FOR THE FIRE TRAINING ACADEMY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the construction of a new Fire Department Training Academy Complex was initiated
as a 2004 Bond project, and in March, 2006, a contract was entered into with Doyne Construction
Company for the construction and improvement of drill grounds, and
WHEREAS, changes have been necessary during the year of construction at a total cost of
$120,476.77, and
WHEREAS, the total cost of the changes are 5.5% of the original cost of the project which is
welt within the normal 10% contingency range for a construction project of this type, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The Board of Directors authorizes the City Manager to execute a change order to
the contract for construction and improvements of the drill grounds for the Fire Training Academy in
the amount of One Hundred Twenty Thousand, Four Hundred Seventy -six and 77/100 Dollars
($120,476.77.
Section 2. Funds for this change order will come from bond interest funds previously
approved by the Citizens Bond Committee and the North Little Rock Fire Department's
contribution to the project.
Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause,
phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such
declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain
in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not
originally a part of the resolution.
Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are
inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such
inconsistency.
