189302003103126 10/03/2003 08:37:05 AN • filed corded in Offici ecords of CAROLYh ALEY PULASKI COUNTY CIRCUIT /COUNTY CLERK ORDINANCE NO. 18,930 fees $11.00 2 3 AN ORDINANCE TO VACATE AND ABANDON A PORTION 4 OF THE SIXTY -FOOT WIDE BISHOP STREET RIGHT -OF -WAY 5 LOCATED BETWEEN WEST 7TH STREET AND I -630, IN THE 6 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER 7 PURPOSES. 0 9 Whereas, a request was made by the owner of abutting property to abandon the 10 right -of -way described below pursuant to its general police power authority under Ark. 11 Code Ann. § 14 -54 -104; 12 Whereas, the Board has determined that the abandoning of that portion of the 13 sixty-foot wide Bishop Street right -of -way will not have an adverse impact on the 14 adjacent property owners nor the public welfare and safety, and therefore, the portion 15 of the right -of -way abandoned by this ordinance is no longer needed for corporate 16 purposes except as otherwise noted below. 17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS 18 OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 19 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby releases, vacates, and abandons the 20 21 22 23 24 25 right -of -way of the City of Little Rock, less and except the reserved public utility easements, together with the right of public in general, in and to that portion of the sixty-foot wide Bishop Street right -of -way located between West 7th Street and I -630, in the City of Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas.
