AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND LITTLE ROCK, ARK.,
ORDINANCE NO. 18,473 (May 1, 2001) CONCERNING SOUTH
KATILIUS STREET, LITTLE ROCK, PULASKI COUNTY,
ARKANSAS, THAT HAS BEEN ABANDONED; TO DECLARE AN
EMERGENCY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors approved Little Rock, Ark. Ordinance No.
18,473 (May 1, 2001), which vacated and abandoned a portion of the South portion of
South Katilius Street within the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the legal description contained in
Section 1 of the ordinance defines an area greater than that actually
vacated, and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors wishes to correct the legal
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The property description contained in Section 1 of

Part of the SW 1/4 NW 1/4 and Part of the SE 1/4 NW 1/4 of Section 24, T-
2-N, R-4 -W, Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas, more particularly
described as follows: Starting at the Northeast corner of said SW 1/4 NW
1/4; thence S01 °34'48” W along the East line of said SW 1/4 NW 1/4, 879.58
ft. to the point of beginning; thence S 87 °51'55" E, 14.86 ft.; thence
S02 °08'05 "W along the East right -of -way line of South Katilius Road, 92.21
ft.; thence N87 °51'55 "W along the South right -of -way line of said South
Katilius Road, 50.00 ft.; thence NO2 °08'05 "E along the West right -of -way
line of said South Katilius Road, 92.21 ft.; thence S87 °51'55 "E, 35.14 ft. to
the point of beginning, containing 4,610 square feet more or less.

1 Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item,
2 sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this ordinance is declared or adjudged to be invalid
3 or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining
4 portions of the ordinance which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so
5 declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
6 ordinance.
7 Section 3. Repealer. All ordinances, resolutions, bylaws, and other matters
8 inconsistent with this ordinance, and particularly that portion of Section 1 of Little
9 Rock, Ark., Ordinance No. 18,473 (May 1, 2001), are hereby repealed to the extent of
10 such inconsistency.
11 Section 4. Emergency. It is hereby found and determined that an immediate need
12 exists to amend the legal description of the portion of the street which has been abandoned. It is,
13 therefore, declared that an emergency exists, and this ordinance, being necessary for the
14 immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety, shall take effect and be in force
15 from and after its passage.
