AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE ROLLING PINES
ANNEXATION, ADDING CERTAIN LANDS TO THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, a petition for voluntary annexation (the "Petition') was filed with
the County Clerk of Pulaski County, Arkansas on January 14, 2002 by the owner of
hereinafter designated lands praying that said lands be annexed to and made part of the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas; and,
WHEREAS, on February 25, 2002, the County Court of Pulaski County,
Arkansas found that the Petition was signed by a majority of the total number of the real
property owners of the area to be annexed and by the owners of more than one -half of the
acreage of said area; and,
WHEREAS, said lands are contiguous to and adjoining the present corporate
limits of the City of Little Rock; and,
WHEREAS, an accurate map of said lands has been filed with and made a part of
said Petition; and,
WHEREAS, proper notice has been given for the time and in the manner
prescribed by law; and,
WHEREAS, all things pertaining thereto have been done in the manner
prescribed by law and that said lands should be annexed to and made part of the City of
Little Rock; and,
WHEREAS, the time fixed by law for appealing from said order of annexation
made by the Pulaski County Court has expired and no appeal has been taken from said
order.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The following described territory contiguous and adjoining the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas, including adjacent streets and public rights -of -way and
specifically including the right -of -way of Heinke Road, be and the same hereby is
accepted as annexed to and made a part of the City of Little RockJUk?ski- GQVnty,
Arkansas, to wit:

ANNEXATION OF ROLLING PINES PROPERTY
All that part of the SE '/4 SE i/4 of Section 15, T -I -S, R -13 -W, Little
Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas lying South and East of the
Southeasterly right -of -way line of the CRI &P Railroad, more
particularly described as:
Beginning at the SE corner of Section 15; thence West along the South
line of said Section 15, 606.06 feet to a point on the Southeasterly right -
of -way line of the CRI &P Railroad; thence in a Northeasterly direction
along the right -of -way line of said railroad on a curve to the right having
a radius of 2,550 feet to a point on the East line of said Section 15 (said
curve segment having a chord bearing and distance of N42'28'1 4" East
923.42 feet); thence SO 1'28'00" West along the East line of said Section
15 681.36 feet to the point of beginning containing 5.34 acres more or
less.
SECTION 2. Repealer. All laws, ordinances and regulations and parts thereof in
conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
SECTION 3. Severability. In the event any portion of this ordinance is declared
or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not
affect the remaining portions of the ordinance, which shall remain in full force and effect
as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally
apart of this ordinance.
