AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE LAND USE PLAN
(16,222) IN THE DOWNTOWN PLANNING DISTRICT
FROM SERVICE TRADES DISTRICT TO PUBLIC
INSTITUTIONAL AND PARKS AND OPEN SPACE AND
MIXED USE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, as a part of the "Update" of the Capitol View
Stifft's Station Neighborhood Action Plan staff presented
the committee with proposed changes to the Future Land Use
Plan in their area; and,
WHEREAS, after review of recommendations presented by
staff the committee determined an area south of Cantrell
Road in the Downtown Planning District should be changed;
and,
WHEREAS, the Little Rock Planning Commission has
reviewed this change and also recommends the change be made
to the Future Land Use Plan.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. That the Service Trades District located
south of Cantrell Road, the Cathedral School property, be
changed to Public Institutional and Parks and Open Space
(which would be reflective of their current Planned Office
Development) on the Future Land Use Plan.
SECTION 2. That the Service Trades District located
south of Cantrell Road and north of North Street east of
the Cathedral School and west of the railroad be changed to
Mixed Use.
