6 WHEREAS, a petition for voluntary annexation (the "Petition ") was filed with the
7 County Clerk of Pulaski County, Arkansas on April 14, 2000, by the owner of hereinafter
8 designated lands praying that said lands be annexed to and made a part of the City of Little
9 Rock, Arkansas; and
10 WHEREAS, on May 17, 2000, the County Court of Pulaski County, Arkansas found
1 I that the Petition was signed by a majority of the total number of real property owners in the
12 area proposed to be annexed and by the owners of more than one -half of the acreage of said
13 area; and
14 WHEREAS, that said lands are contiguous to and adjoining the present corporate
15 limits of the City of Little Rock; and
16 WHEREAS, that an accurate map of said lands has been filed with and made a part
17 of said Petition; and
18 WHEREAS, that proper notice has been given for the time and in the manner
19 prescribed by law; and
20 WHEREAS, that all things pertaining thereto have been done in the manner
21 prescribed by law and that said lands should be annexed to and made a part of the City of
22 Little Rock; and
23 WHEREAS, the time fixed by law for appealing from said order of annexation made
24 by the Pulaski County Court has expired and no appeal has been taken from said order.
25 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
26 OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
27 SECTION 1. The following described territory contiguous and adjoining thg,Gityngf

4 Part of the E 1/3 of the NW 1/4, Section 14, Township 2 North,
5 Range 14 West, Pulaski County, Arkansas, more particularly
6 described as:
7 Starting at the Northeast Corner of said NW 1/4; thence West
8 along the North line of said NW 1/4, 50.15 ft.; thence South
9 along the west right -of -way line of Patrick Country Road,
10 1270.34 ft. to the point of beginning; thence S 03' 11'3 5 "W and
11 continuing along said West right -of -way line, 966.63 ft.; thence
12 N 86 °51'18 "W, 388.62 ft.; thence N 02 °51'17 "E, 127.53 ft.;
13 thence N 03'08'47"E, 839.26 ft.; thence S 86 °49'40 "E, 390.06
14 ft. to the point of beginning; containing 8.6468 acres more or
15 less; Together with the fifty (50) foot right -of -way of Patrick
16 Country Road lying east thereof.
17 SECTION 2. Repealer. All laws, ordinances and regulations and parts thereof in
18 conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
19 SECTION 3. Severability. In the event any portion of this ordinance is declared or
20 adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect
21 the remaining portions of the ordinance, which shall remain in full force and effect as if the
22 portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of this
23 ordinance.
