ORDINANCE NO. 18,200
AN ORDINANCE TO AUTHORIZE A CONTRACT WITH
WORLD WIDE IMPORT FOR THE PURCHASE OF
CERTAIN PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT; TO WAIVE
COMPETITIVE BIDDING; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City has entered into an agreement with Ragusa, Italy, for cooperative
relations and as a result of this relationship there have been efforts to help provide special
equipment for a City playground, and
WHEREAS, to fulfill this particular agreement for this playground, it is impractical and
unfeasible to bid this particular purchase,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LPI"I'LE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with World
Wide Import Export of Ragusa, Italy, in an amoung not to exceed $43,657. for the purchase of
playground equipment for Boyle Park.
Section 2. Because $30,000 of the cost of this contract is being paid through the City
by the Frueholf Foundation, the Board fords that it is impractical and unfeasible to subject this
contract to bidding.
19 Section 3. Funds for the balance of this Agreement are available in the Boye Park
20 Special Project Fund.
