181700 • 1 ORDINANCE NO. 18,170 7 2 84 i 3 AN ORDINANCE TO REPEAL LITTLE ROCK, ARK., 4 ORDINANCE NO. 18,153 (DECEMBER 7,1999); TO 5 AMEND LITTLE ROCK, ARK., REV. CODE § 22 -213 6 (1988) TO REMOVE THE REQUIREMENT THAT THE 7 CITY MANAGER ATTEND MEETINGS OF THE ZOO 8 BOARD OF GOVERNORS; AND FOR OTHER 9 PURPOSES. 10 11 WHEREAS, the City created a Zoo Board of Governors to provide advice on the 12 operations of the new Zoo Department, and in doing so required that the City Manager 13 attend meetings of the Board of Governors, and 14 WHEREAS, the Board no longer believes that is a necessary obligation that must 15 be codified in an ordinance, and attempted to delete this provision in Little Rock, Ark., 16 Ordinance No. 18,153 (December 7, 1999)(" LRO 18,153 "), and 17 WHEREAS, the codification of the original ordinance that created the Zoo Board 18 of Governors occurred prior to the date of LRO 18,153, so that ordinance is technically 19 incorrect, 20 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF 21 DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 22 Section 1. Little Rock, Ark., Ordinance No. 18,153 (December 7, 1999) is 23 hereby repealed. 24 Section 2. Little Rock, Ark., Rev. Code § 22 -213 (b) (1988) is hereby deleted 25 in its entirety. 26 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, subtitle, section, subsection, division, subdivision, paragraph, subparagraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase or word of this ordinance is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration of adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of this ordinance which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of this ordinance.
