1 ORDINANCE NO. 18. 113
2 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND LITTLE ROCK, CODE § 2- G. 42_;
3 243 (1988) TO DECLARE GROWTH MANAGEMENT
4 CONSULTANT A PROFESSIONAL SERVICE; AND FOR
5 OTHER PURPOSES.
6 WHEREAS, the City periodically needs to review its growth management policies and
7 the effect that these policies have on the quality of life of its citizens, and
8 WHEREAS, it is often necessary to employ a professional consulting firm to assist in
9 this review, and
10 WHEREAS, it is important to assure that the consultant hired through a competitive
11 process is the most qualified person, or firm, to conduct a study as requested by the City and,
12 is not merely the least expensive firm,
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
14 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
15 Section 1. Little Rock, Ark., Rev. Code § 2 -243 (a)(2) is hereby amended to add the
16 following: Growth Management consultant.
t7 Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, subtitle, section, subsection,
18 subdivision, paragraph, subparagraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this ord-inance
19 is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall
20 not affect the remaining portions of this ordinance which shall remain in full force and effect
21 as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of
22 this ordinance.
23 Section 3. Repealer. All ordinances, resolutions, or regulations, or any parts of such
24 documents, which are inconsistent with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed to
25 the extent of such inconsistency.
