AN ORDINANCE RECLASSIFYING PROPERTY
LOCATED IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS, AMENDING SECTION 36 OF THE
CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

WHEREAS, the Central City area zoning pattern was
reviewed as part of a "neighborhood plan" progress; and,
WHEREAS, several properties were identified as zoned
improperly based on current use and the adopted Land Use
Plan; and,
WHEREAS, property owners were notified in summer of
1998 and again in early 1999 with all requesting removal not
included.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. That the zoning classified in the following
properties be and is hereby changed from R -5, Urban
Residential to R -4 Two Family residential as indicated.
Z- 3711 -A. An area between 17`h and 16`h Streets, west of
Cumberland Streets described as Lots 7 -9, East 140 feet
of Lots 10 -12 Block 18 City of Little Rock ( 200 Block
East 16 "; 1614, 1620 and 1700 Block Commerce).
Z -6615. An area between 15`h and 20`h Streets, east of
Cumberland Street described as: Lot 1, 4 -11, North 33'
of Lot 2 and West 57' of Lot 12 Block 50 and Lots 1, 2,
5, 6 and East 86' of North 5' of Lot 3 Block 51 City of
Little Rock; Lots 3 -6 and South % Lot 2 Block 413 and
Lots 1 -4, 6 Block 414 Duvall's Addition (1515, 1523,
1615, 1907, 1923, 1801, 1819 Cumberland; 301, 303, 315
East 15`h; 1522, 1510, 1504 Rock; 305 and 412 East 16`h;
1522 and 1518 Commerce; and 306 East 19`h).
Z -6617. An area NW of 16`h and Commerce Streets as well
as an area between 17`h and 20`h Streets, west of
Cumberland Street described as: Lots 7 -9, Block 53,
City of Little Rock; Lots 7 -11, East 81 feet Of Lot 12
Block 415, and Lots 11 -12, North % Lot 8 and South i
Lot 9 Block 416 Duvalls Addition (1518, 1522, 1818,

Z -6618. An area along Scott Street between 22" and 25`h
Streets described as: Lots 4 -5, East 50 feet of Lots
1 -3 Block 419, and Lots 6 -10 Block 420 Duvalls
Addition; Lots 7 -11, West 60 feet of Lot 12 Block 1,

SECTION 2. That the zoning classification of the
following properties be and is hereby changed from C -3
General Commercial to R -4 Two Family Residential as
indicated.
Z -6616. An area along 21" Street, from Park Lane to
Cumberland described as Lots 3 -6, South 'A Lots 1 and 2
Block 406, and Lots 11 and 12 Block 411, and Lot 8 and
East 'A Lot 7 Block 412 Duvalls Addition; Lot 12 Block
404 Lincoln Zimmerman's Addition (2109 and 2102 Rock,
407, 411, 417, 421, 322, 320, 516, 514 East 21").
SECTION 3. That the map referred to in Section 36 of
the Code of Ordinances of the City of Little Rock and
designated district maps be and is hereby amended to the
extent and in the suspects necessary to affect and designate
the changes provided for in Sections 1 and 2 hereof.
SECTION 4. That the ordinance shall take effect and be
in full force from and after its passage and approval.
