3 AN ORDINANCE WAIVING COMPETITIVE BIDS AND
4 AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A
5 SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT WITH FWD CORPORATION -
6 SEAGRAVE FIRE APPARATUS IN THE AMOUNT OF
7 $38,044 FOR THE REPAIR OF THE AERIAL LADDER
8 TURNTABLE ON LITTLE ROCK FIRE DEPARTMENT
9 TRUCK NUMBER 82D030.

11 WHEREAS, only the ladder manufacturer (Seagraves) can repair and certify the ladder
12 according to the National Fire Protection Association Number 1914 standard.
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
14 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
15 SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to accept bids and award a contract to FWD
16 Corporation - Seagrave Fire Apparatus in the amount of $38,044 for the repair of the aerial turntable
17 on truck number 82D030.
18 SECTION 2. The City Manager is authorized to waive competitive bidding and
19 declare FWD Corporation - Seagrave Fire Apparatus as a sole source provider of repairing
20 the City's aerial ladder turntable on truck number 82DO30 in order to ensure proper repair
21 according to National Fire Protection Association Number 1914 standard.
22 SECTION 3. Funding for this project is available in account number 600- 360 - 6040 -6041-
23 6082 -99.
