3 AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $73,917.16 AND
4 AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A LEASE AGREEMENT WITH
5 PULASKI COUNTY UNITED WAY FOR LEASE OF CERTAIN OFFICE SPACES IN THE
6 MCFADDEN BUILDING AND ADJACENT PARKING SPACES FOR CDBG AND HOUSING;
7 ADMINISTRATIVE AND NEIGHBORHOOD PROGRAMS AND ENVIRONMENTAL COURT
8 FOR ONE YEAR EFFECTIVE MAY 1, 1999.
9 WHEREAS, the current lease requires a 90 day cancellation or renewal; and
10 WHEREAS, this lease must be executed by February 1, 1999, to meet the requirements of
I 1 current lease; and
12 WHEREAS, this lease is necessary for office space and parking for the departments listed
13 above
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
15 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
16 SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to appropriate funds and to enter into a lease
17 agreement with Pulaski County United Way for lease of certain offices and parking spaces in the
18 McFadden Building for CDBG and Housing, ($33,575.67); Administrative & Neighborhood Programs
19 ($22,736.18); and Environmental Court ($13,126.11) and one additional parking space in the amount
20 of $480 starting May 1, 1999. A 2% increase will be added for the second year if required.
21 SECTION 2. Funding for this project is available from the 1999 budget.
22 SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
