AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 31 OF THE CODE
OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS, PROVIDING FOR A WAIVER OF
SUBDIVISION ORDINANCE AND MASTER STREET PLAN
DESIGN STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR ONE
AIRPORT DRIVE SERVING LITTLE ROCK NATIONAL
AIRPORT.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That Chapter 31 of the Code of Ordinances be amended to provide for a waiver
of certain requirements within the Subdivision Ordinance and Master Street Plan for the City of Little
Rock for Little Rock National Airport.
Subsection a. That Section 31 -209 requiring 40 -mph design speed be waived
allow 30 mph design speed.
Subsection b. That Section 31 -204 requiring 500 feet minimum horizontal radius
on minor arterial be waived. Specific waiver will allow a 300 -foot radius for super -
elevated curve.
Subsection c. That Section 31 -205 requiring 300 feet minimum tangent distance on
minor arterial and 200 foot on collector between reverse curves to be waived. The
specific waiver will allow a 95 -foot tangent on minor arterial and 75 feet on collector
portion.
Subsection d. That Section 31 -209 requiring 90 feet minimum right -of -way be
waived. Specific waiver will allow a variable right -of -way equal to constructed
pavement plus 12 feet behind outside curbs.
Subsection e. That Section 31 -209 requiring 59 feet minimum pavement for minor
arterial and 31 feet for Commercial street be waived. Specific waiver will
allow variable pavement width for both streets.
SECTION 2. This ORDINANCE shall take effect thirty (30) days from and after its passage.
