17704® � 135 ORDINANCE NO. 17,704 AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING FUNDS AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN ENGINEERING SERVICES CONTRACT WITH GRESHAM, SMITH, AND PARTNERS FOR DOWNTOWN SIGNAL SYSTEM UPGRADE. WHEREAS, the City has previously committed by resolution of the Board of Directors to a local match on the Downtown Signal System Upgrade Project based on citizen requests and needed maintenance. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION I. The City Manager is authorized to transfer and appropriate $337,500 from the 1998 Revenue Bond Fund and enter into an engineering services contract with Gresham, Smith, and Partners in the amount of $175,000 (80% ISTEA - 20% City) for the comprehensive traffic study and specifications for a Downtown Signal System Upgrade, a joint project with the AHTD utilizing ISTEA monies.
