AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CITY LAND USE
PLAN (16,222) MODIFYING THE DEFINITION
OF SEVERAL LAND USE CATEGORIES, AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, Planning Staff believes the definition change
clarifies and simplifies the Land Use Plan Definitions; and,
WHEREAS, the Little Rock Planning Commission agrees to
the appropriateness of the definition changes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The following sentences is added to the Mixed
Commercial and Industrial category definition: "Acceptable
uses are Commercial or Mixed Commercial and Industrial."
SECTION 2. The following sentence is added to the Mixed
Office and Commercial category definition. "Acceptable uses
are Office or Mixed Office and Commercial."
SECTION 3. The following definition is added: "Service
Trades District - this category provides for a selection of
office, warehousing, and industrial park activities that
primarily serve other office service or industrial businesses.
The district is intended to allow support services to these
businesses and to provide for uses with an office component.
A Planned Zoning District is required for any development not
wholly office."
SECTION 4. The Land Use Plan Map is changed the Service
Trades District (STD) in all areas shown for Mixed Office
Industrial or Mixed Office warehouse.
SECTION 5. The definitions and categories of Mixed
Office Industrial and Mixed Office Warehouse are removed from
the Plan.
SECTION 6. In the Land Use Plan text in all locations
where either Mixed Office Industrial or Mixed Office Warehouse
is found, Service Trades District is to now appear.
