6 CODE § 2 -262 (1988) CONCERNING ATTENDANCE
7 POLICIES FOR THE MUSEUM OF SCIENCE a&
8 HISTORY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS, the Museum of Science and History has requested that the City
12 attendance policies for Boards and Commission members be amended; and
13 WHEREAS, Little Rock, Ark., Rev. Code § 2 -262 (b) (1988), permits the Board of
14
15 Directors by majority vote to amend the attendance policy for various boards and
16 commissions.
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
18 OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:

20 SECTION 1. Little Rock, Ark., Rev. Code § 2 -262 (1988) is hereby amended to add
21 the following subsection:
22 Members of the Board of Trustees of the Museum of Science
23
and History are required to attend 2/3 of all meetings during the
24
25 course of a calendar year. The continued membership status of
26 any member that does not fulfill this requirement shall be
27 subject to review by the designated committee of the Museum
28 Board. The committee may permit the person to continue in
29
30 service after consideration of the person's demonstrated
31 commitment and participation in Museum activities. No person
32 shall be removed frorn the Museum Board of Trustees without
33
first receiving a written notice that such action is being
34
35 considered.
