ORDINANCE NO 17,465
AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING FIFTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS 321
($15,000.00) LOCAL MATCHING FUNDS FOR DESIGN SERVICES
FOR A LIGHT RAIL PROJECT TO SERVE THE RIVER MARKET,
CONVENTION CENTER AND ARENA PROJECT.
WHEREAS, federal funds are available for design services to provide a light rail system
which would provide transportation services between the Little Rock River Market and
the Little Rock Convention Center; and the North Little Rock Riverfront Park and Arena
Project; and
WHEREAS, in order to obtain the 80/20 federal funds, it is necessary for the City of
Little Rock, Pulaski County, and the City of North Little Rock to each provide Fifteen
Thousand Dollars ($15,000.00) in local matching funds; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1: That the sum of Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($15,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from Account # 210 - 850 - (Special Project Fund Balance) to provide Little Rock's
portion of the local matching funds required for the Central Arkansas Transit Authority to
obtain the services necessary for a light rail project.
SECTION 2: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon its passage and
approval.
