AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND LITTLE ROCK,
ARK., ORDINANCE NO. 17,262 (AUGUST
20, 1996), TO CHANGE THE METHOD OF
COSTS FOR USE OF ADDITIONAL SOLID
WASTE CONTAINERS; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.

WHEREAS, the City adopted a comprehensive solid waste
ordinance that set forth guidelines for the collection of solid
waste; and
WHEREAS, the City has concluded that to the extent feasible
those persons requiring additional solid waste containers should
be allowed to obtain them without cost.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. Section 28(c) of Little Rock, Ark., Ordinance
No. 17,262 (August 20, 1996), is hereby amended to read:
(c) Individual dwelling units may request one
additional City provided solid waste container. After a
second solid waste container is provided, each additional
City provided solid waste container will be billed at the
rate of seven dollars ($7.00) per month per container and
will be billed for a minimum of three (3) months.
