AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 31 OF THE
CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS, PROVIDING FOR A WAIVER OF
MASTER STREET PLAN STANDARDS FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF THE OUTER LOOP ROAD FROM
CHENAL PARKWAY TO TAYLOR LOOP ROAD.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That Chapter 31 of the Code of Ordinances be amended to provide for
a waiver from certain requirements within the Subdivision Regulations of the City of Little
Rock for the Master Street Plan standards for the Outer Loop Road from Chenal Parkway to
Taylor Loop Road as follows:
Subsection a. That a waiver be approved from the provisions of Section 31 -201,
which requires that all public streets within a subdivision shall be constructed in
accordance with the Master Street Plan. The waiver of standards are as
follows: That a portion of the Outer Loop be constructed with a street width of
fifty -six (56) feet versus the minor arterial standard of sixty (60) feet. That a
portion of the Outer Loop be constructed as a boulevard section with two
twenty six (26) foot streets and a twelve (12) foot grassed median except where
turn lanes will be constructed. That a portion of the Outer Loop be constructed
with a sidewalk on one side along the portion that has a large drainage and
open space adjacent to the roadway that prohibits future development adjacent
to that portion of the Outer Loop.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days from and after its
passage.
