17219ORDINANCE NO. 17,219 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CITY LAND USE PLAN (16,222) IN THE BOYLE PARR AND I -430 DISTRICTS, MAKING VARIOUS LAND USE CHANGES BETWEEN KANIS ROAD, ASHER AVENUE AND SHACKLEFORD ROAD - ROCK CREEK, AND FOR OTHER MATTERS. M M 7 81r WHEREAS, the John Barrow Neighborhoods Area Steering Committee after several months of review, recommends that the adopted Land Use Plan for their area be modified; and, WHEREAS, after review of the proposed changes Planning Staff agrees that the modifications to the Plan are appropriate and protects the residential, single family, in area; and, WHEREAS, the Planning Commission after review and discussion at a public hearing recommends that the Plan be amended. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS. SECTION 1. The two lake /recreation areas in Twin Lakes are changed from Single Family to Park /Open Space. SECTION 2. The area from 16th and 22nd Streets, west of Aldersgate Road is changed from Suburban Office to Single Family. SECTION 3. The area west of Junior Deputy Road from Kanis Road to 16th Street is changed from Suburban Office to Public Institutional (North 1/2) and Park /Open Space (South 1/2). SECTION 4. An area southeast of the John Barrow /Kanis Road intersection is changed from Mixed Use to Mixed Office Commercial. SECTION 5. An area south of Kanis Road and west of Leander is changed from Mixed Residential to Single Family with an existing mobile home area shown for mobile home and an architect office for Office. SECTION 6. An area south and west of Leander is changed from Low Density Multifamily to Multifamily. SECTION 7. An area west of John Barrow Road and north of Tanya Drive is changed from Multifamily to Mixed Office Commercial. SECTION 8. An area either side of Tanya Drive west of John Barrow Road is changed from Low Density Multifamily to Multifamily. SECTION 9. An area south of Tanya Drive and west of John Barrow Road is changed from Mixed Residential to Low Density Multifamily, with Multifamily for an existing nursing home. =38T" � SECTION 10. An area generally south of 32nd Street and west of John Barrow Road is changed from Park /Open Space to Single Family with Neighborhood Commercial at the intersection. SECTION 11. An area south of Howell Drive and east of John Barrow Road is changed from Low Density Multifamily to Single Family. SECTION 12. An area along Scotty Court north of 22nd Street is changed from Single Family to Low Density Multifamily. SECTION 13. An area along Woodwind Drive and Wedgewood Cove is changed from Single Family to Low Density Multifamily. SECTION 14. An area east of Shackleford Road from Camp Aldersgate to 36th Street is changed from Multifamily and Public Institutional to Office. SECTION 15. An area north of 36th Street, east of Shackleford Road (Our Way) is changed from Public Institutional to Multifamily. SECTION 16. The southeast corner of 36th Street and Shackleford Road is changed from Mixed Residential to Multifamily. SECTION 17. The area south of Brodie Creek and east of Shackleford Road is changed from Multifamily to Mobile Home. SECTION 18. An area east of Romine Road and north of 36th Street is changed from Single Family to Public Institutional. SECTION 19. Southeast of the 36th Street /John Barrow Road intersection, a multiblock area, is changed from Mixed Residential to Single Family. SECTION 20. An area north of 39th Street and west of Blunt is changed from Single Family to Commercial. SECTION 21. An area west of Stannus and south of 40th Street is changed from Single Family to Public Institutional. SECTION 22. An area south of 40th Street between Whitfield and Potter is changed from Mixed Residential to Single Family. SECTION 23. An area either side of John Barrow Road north of 44th Street is changed from Low Density Multifamily to Single Family with Office along John Barrow from north of 42nd to 43rd Streets. SECTION 24. An area south of 46th Street from Ludwig to Holt is changed from Low Density Multifamily to Single Family. SECTION 25. An area along Asher Avenue from Holt to Foster is changed from Single Family to Commercial. SECTION 26. An area northwest of the Asher /Foster intersection is changed from Single Family to Public Institutional. SECTION 27. The Plan Map is amended as shown on the attached sketch Maps.
