17112wi w >• w w w wi w w� w� w w11� 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 33 34 35 36 ORDINANCE NO. 17.112 AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING FUNDS FROM THE CITY'S ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FUND FOR A MARKETING CAMPAIGN TO PROMOTE THE NEW RIVER MARKET DEVELOPMENT; AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 17,068 ( "THE 1996 BUDGET ORDINANCE "); AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS, the City Board of Directors has created an Economic Development Fund to support initiatives that result in the creation of jobs for the community; and WHEREAS, the new River Market development is designed to promote jobs and economic activity in the vital central core of the City and in the important tourism industry; and WHEREAS, the Advertising and Promotion Commission has agreed to match the City's River Market marketing contribution with $50,000 of its own funds. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated the sum of $75,000 from the City's Economic Development Fund to support the 1996 marketing campaign for the new River Market project. SECTION 2. The program budget summary attached to Ordinance No. 17,068 is hereby amended to increase the funding for Organization No. 1032, Community Relations, by the sum of $25,000. SECTION 3. The remaining $50,000 of the appropriation shall constitute increased City support for the Advertising and Promotion Commission, which shall match the $50,000 with its own funds, and provide supporting activities for the River Market marketing campaign.
