2 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 17,071;
3 APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR A DISPARITY
4 STUDY CONTRACT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

6 WHEREAS, the Board of Directors adopted Ordinance No. 17,071 on January 2, 1996,
7 which authorized a contract with MGT of America for a disparity study in an amount not to
8 exceed $163,755; and
9
10 WHEREAS, five City agencies are participating in the study and would like to receive
11 separate disparity studies for each agency and have paid for the $80,500 cost of these studies;
12 and
13 WHEREAS, the total cost for the City's study is $163,755, and the Board has only
14 previously appropriated $83,255 for the City's portion of the study.
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
16 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
17 SECTION 1. Section 1 of Ordinance No. 17,071 is hereby amended to authorize the
18 City Manager to enter into a contract with MGT of America in an amount not to exceed
19 $244,255 for preparation of a disparity study for the City and for the five City. agencies that have
20
requested and paid for separate studies.

22 SECTION 2. The sum of $80,500 is hereby appropriated from the FUTURE - Little
23 Rock reserve account (balance sheet account number 100 -8513) as additional funding for the
24 disparity study contract.

26 SECTION 3. All other parts of Ordinance No. 17, 071 shall remain in full force and
27 effect.
