AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR EQUIPMENT FOR
THE POLICE DEPARTMENT.
WHEREAS, the fourth quarter financial report for the City of Little Rock, Arkansas
indicates that the Police Department had a 1995 budget surplus in their personnel costs, which
has been added to the General Fund balance; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Board of Directors that these funds be used for the
purchase of equipment to enhance the operations and capabilities of the Police Department.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The sum of $108,920 is hereby appropriated from the General Fund
balance to be transferred to the Special Projects Fund and reflected as funding for Police
Department equipment.
SECTION 2. Staff will submit recommendations for utilization of these funds to the
Board of Directors for approval.
