ORDINANCE NO. 17,065
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 23 OF
THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS PROVIDING FOR
MODIFICATION OF THE FILING FEES FOR
REZONING, SUBDIVISION APPLICATIONS AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, the Department of Neighborhoods and Planning
receives numerous requests for approval of site plans,
subdivisions, requests for changes in zoning, and
WHEREAS, there is significant cost involved in the
evaluation of these requests, publishing necessary notices,
and making sufficient copies for the public and the relevant
commissions and staff; and
WHEREAS, a comprehensive fee ordinance for land
development matters is necessary to conveniently catalogue
all of these fee requirements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK;
SECTION 1. That Chapter 23, Section 23.3(a) fees be
amended to read as follows:
(a) Rezoning. The filing fees for submitting to the
city department designated by the city manager, rezoning
applications shall be as follows:

and mixed rezonings shall be determined by totaling up
charges for individual parcels according to the above
schedule.

SECTION 2. That Chapter 23, Section 23.3(b) fees be
amended to read as follows:

submitting subdivision applications to the office of the
city department designated by the city manager shall be as

city manager shall be as follows:

(a) $100.00 for residential sites under 5 acres
(b) $200.00 for residential sites from 5 acres to 10
acres (inclusive)
(c) $300.00 for residential sites over 10 acres
(d) $200.00 for non residential sites under 5 acres
(e) $250.00 for non residential sites from 5 acres to
10 acres (inclusive)
(f) $300.00 for non residential sites over 10 acres

single - family and two - family variance applications, and
one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00) for multifamily
(more than two (2) dwelling units) and nonresidential
variance applications.
(5) Special use permit, one hundred twenty -five dollars
($125.00) for all sites.

SECTION 4. Section 23.3(e) through 23.3 (g) and all
other provisions of Chapter 23 of the Code of Ordinances not
in conflict herewith shall remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 5. Emergency. The ability to regulate proper
zoning is essential to the public health, safety and
welfare, and further, requires an appropriate and consistent
fee structure. An emergency is therefore declared to exist
and this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after January 1, 1996.
