AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 31 OF THE
CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, PROVIDING FOR
VARIANCES FROM THE REGULATIONS ESTABLISHING
THE MAXIMUM LENGTH OF CUL -DE -SAC STREETS
AND THE MAXIMUM LENGTH OF MINOR RESIDENTIAL
CUL -DE -SAC STREETS FOR SANDPIPER CREEK NO. II
ADDITION (5- 503 -0), LOCATED WEST OF I -430
AND EAST OF BOWMAN RD., SOUTH OF AND BEYOND
THE PRESENT END OF CREEKSIDE DR.,
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. That Chapter 31 of the Code of Ordinances be
amended to provide for a variance from certain requirements within
the Subdivision Regulations of the City of Little Rock for SANDPIPER
CREEK NO. II ADDITION (5- 503 -0), located west of I -430 and east of
Bowman Rd., south of and beyond the present end of Creekside Dr., as
follows:
Subsection a. That a variance from the provisions of Section
31 -202., which requires that cul -de -sac streets are to have a
maximum length of 1000 feet, be approved to permit Shady Ridge
Dr. in the SANDPIPER CREEK NO. II ADDITION, to be constructed
to a length of 1,200 feet.
Subsection b. That a variance from the provisions of Section
31 -2, which specifies that a cul -de -sac street which does not
exceed 750 feet in length may be classified as a "Minor
Residential Street ", be approved to permit the 1,200 foot long
cul -de -sac street, Shady Ridge Dr. in the SANDPIPER CREEK NO.
II ADDITION, to be classified as a "Minor Residential Street ".
SECTION 2. This ORDINANCE shall take effect thirty (30)
days from and after its passage.
