AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE MASTER STREET
PLAN, REALIGNING AND RECLASSIFYING 2ND
STREET FROM CHESTER WEST TO THE
RAILROAD, AND FOR OTHER MATTERS.
WHEREAS, the City Engineering and Planning Staffs
believe there is not a need for 2nd Street to connect to 3rd
Street; and,
WHEREAS, Staff no longer recommends 2nd and 3rd Street
be a one way couple; and,
WHEREAS, traffic patterns and the street network justify
a collector classification of 2nd Street from Chester Street
west to the railroad; and,
WHEREAS, the Little Rock Planning Commission after
review of the amendment recommends the realignment and
classification change.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The Master Street Plan map is changed to
realign and reclassify 2nd Street from Chester west to the
railroad, as shown on the attached sketch.
SECTION 2. The Master Street Plan text in the Chapter
entitled "Functional Classification of Street System, Minor
Arterials" section is amended changing the "From"
designation for 2nd Street to "Chester" and should read as
follows:
