3 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 16,486
4 (SEPTEMBER 7, 1993), TO CORRECT THE LEGAL DESCRIPTION
5 OF THE PROPERTY EMBRACED IN LANEHART ROAD WATER
6 IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 142; DECLARING AN
7 EMERGENCY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

9 WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 16,486 (September 7, 1993) established Lanehart
10 Road Water Improvement District No. 142; and
11 WHEREAS, the legal description of the property embraced in Lanehart Road
12 Water Improvement District No. 142 as described in Section 1 of Ordinance No.
13 16,486 was in error; and
14 WHEREAS, the inaccurate legal description has created a problem for persons
15 residing in the District for water connections.
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
17 OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
18 SECTION 1. That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 16,486 (September 7, 1993) is
19 hereby amended to delete the inaccurate legal description and to substitute the
20 following legal description of the property embraced in Lanehart Road Water
21 Improvement district No. 142:
22 Part of the NW 1/4, SE 1/4 of Section 27, T -1 -N, R -13 -W, Little Rock,
23 Arkansas, being more particularly described as:

25 Commencing at the NE comer of the NW 1/4, SE 1/4; thence
26 N88 027'00 "W 66.0'; thence South 1617 to the Point of Beginning;
27 thence continue South 512.41'; thence S88 127'00 "E 66.0'; thence South

1 46.7'; thence N88 127'00 "W 356.0'; thence South 589.24'; thence West
2 300.0'; thence North 1322.0' to a point on the North line of said NW
3 1/4, SE 1/4; thence S88 127'00 "E along the North line of said NW 1/4,
4 SE 1/4 438.11'; thence South 161.7'; thence S88 127'00 "E 151.7' to the
5 Point of Beginning, containing 13.36 Acres, more or less.
6 SECTION 2. EMERGENCY CLAUSE. The inaccurate legal description
7 contained in Ordinance No. 16,486 (September 7, 1993) has prevented some persons
8 residing within the district from receiving water service. Therefore, it is determined
9 that an emergency exists and this Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its
10 passage and approval.
