16650243 ORDINANCE N0. 16,650 AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND CLOSING ALL OF AN EAST WEST ALLEY AND A PORTION OF A NORTH SOUTH ALLEY IN BLOCK 3 OF THE OAK FOREST ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, AND TO ABANDON THE PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENTS LOCATED WITHIN THOSE ALLEY RIGHTS -OF -WAY. WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the Little Rock City Clerk on the 1st day of April, 1994, asking the Little Rock Board of Director to vacate and abandon a 10 foot wide East West alley lying South of and adjacent to Lots 17 through 22 and a portion of a 20 foot wide North South alley lying west of and adjacent to Lots 1 through 7 in Block 3 of the Oak Forest Addition of the City of Little Rock , an Addition of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, as designated on the plat of said Addition now appearing of record in Plat Book 3, Page 67, in the Office of the Recorder of Pulaski County, Arkansas; and WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the Board of Directors had, at the time and place mentioned in the notice, heard all persons desiring to be heard on the question and has ascertained that the alley, or portion thereof, hereinbefore described, has been dedicated to the public use as an alley and that all owners of the property abutting upon the portion of the alley to be vacated have filed with the City Clerk their written consent to the abandonment; and WHEREAS, the public interest and welfare will not be adversely affected by the abandonment of that portion of the alley and the utility easements located within that portion of the alley right -of -way. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby releases, vacates and abandons all its rights, together with the rights of the public generally, in and to the alley and the utility easements designated as follows: A 20 feet North South Alley lying West of and adjacent to Lots I through 7 and a 10 foot East West Alley lying South of and adjacent to Lots 17 through 22, all in Block 3, Oak Forest Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas being more particularly described as follows: U -,J 6— z 244 Beginning at the Southwest comer of said Lot 7; thence West 20.00 feet to the East line of Lot 15, said Block 3; thence North 00 °15'40" West 75.00 feet to the Northeast comer of Lot 16, said Block 3; thence West 150.00 feet to the East right -of -way line of Taylor Street; thence North 00 °15'40" West said East right -of -way 10.00 feet to the Southwest corner of said Lot 22; thence East 150.00 feet to the Southeast comer of Lot 17; thence North 00 015'40" West 90.00 feet to the South right -of -way of 12th Street; thence East along said South right -of -way line 20.00 feet; thence South 00 °15 "40" East 175.00 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING containing 5,000 square feet. SECTION 2. A copy of this Ordinance, duly certified by the City Clerk, shall be filed in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski County and recorded in the records of the County. SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and approval.
