• ORDINANCE NO. 16,583
AN ORDINANCE TO PERMIT MEMBERS OF THE
BOARD OF DIRECTORS TO SIGN ORDINANCES,
RESOLUTIONS, NOTIONS OR OTHER WRITINGS AS
SPONSORS, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, members of the Board of Directors from time to
time wish to more formally note the fact of their sponsorship or
authorship of a particular measure; and
WHEREAS, there is presently no mechanism to permit such
sponsorship or authorship to be noted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1: Any member of the Board of Directors may note
the fact that the Member, alone or in combination with other
Members, authored or sponsored a resolution, ordinance, motion
or other writing by reserving the right to sign the engrossed
copy of the writing as its sponsor.
SECTION 2: The City Clerk is directed to ascertain whether
any member wishes to sign the engrossed copy of an ordinance,
resolution, motion, or other writing, and if so to have a final
copy prepared that permits such designation.
