AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 32 -377 OF THE
LITTLE ROCK CITY CODE, 1988, PROHIBITING THE
PARKING OF COMMERCIAL VEHICLES IN RESIDENTIAL AREAS.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1: Section 32 -377 of the Little Rock City Code,
1988, is hereby amended by substituting in its entirety
the following language:
No person, firm or corporation shall park a
truck, tractor, bus, trailer or semi - trailer
with a manufacturer's rated capacity in excess
of one ton or the chassis thereof, on any public
residential street except when such vehicle is
actually engaged in the process of providing
a direct public service. No person, firm or
corporation shall use any public street for the
purpose of repairing any such truck, tractor, bus,
trailer or semi- trailer or the chassis thereof,
except when such repairs are necessitated by an
emergency.
SECTION 2: Any person convicted of a violation of the
provisions of this ordinance shall be punished as provided in
Section 1 -9 of the Little Rock City Code.
SECTION 3: This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage.
SECTION 4: All laws and parts of laws which are
inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent
of such inconsistency.
