ORDINANCE NO. 15,957
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 27 OF THE LITTLE
ROCK CODE OF ORDINANCES PERTAINING TO
CONSTRUCTION SPECIFICATIONS FOR ELECTRICAL SIGNS
AND OTHER MATTERS.
WHEREAS, electrical signs which have not been inspected and
approved according to Underwriter Laboratories specifications are
dangerous to the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of the
City of Little Rock.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1: Chapter 27, Section 27 -20(a) shall be amended
to include the following language:
All electrical signs shall be fabricated and
erected in accordance with the Underwriters
Laboratories specifications and the UL label shall
be affixed to the letters or sign case prior to
erection of the sign. All electrical signs shall
have disconnect switches on the letters or sign
cases.
SECTION 2: This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage.
